It is with mixed emotions that the HBR Board of Education accepted the resignation of our Superintendent, Dr. Travis McGuire. Although we are disappointed to lose an incredible leader who has directed and guided the district effectively for these last 10 years, the board will work hard to find a new superintendent to serve District 429 well.
Over the course of Dr. McGuire’s tenure at HBR, we are grateful for his efforts in making HBR a great district. He has created new opportunities and avenues of learning, found ways to save taxpayers money, and brought unity and synergy to our district and community. While we will miss his leadership, we are excited for Dr. McGuire to pursue this new opportunity and wish both him and the Downers Grove School District the best of luck and success.
Thank you Dr. McGuire for all of these years of devoted service to and partnership with our community. We look forward to all that is in store for you in this new chapter and expect as you take this next step, as you have often told us, that "you will be ready to go".

At tonight's Board meeting, the Board approved the following items:
- the 2024-2025 school calendar
- the resolution to name Engie Services U.S. Inc. as the chosen qualified provider to begin a detailed audit and project development services with an expenditure up to $1,500 for a third part cost avoidance review
