Mr. Magis and Mr. Sullivan invited Chris Dosch from Camp Kane to speak to U.S. History students about life as a Civil War soldier. Students had an immersive experience with replica materials from the war as well as the chance to speak to a Civil War living historian. #WeAreHBR

VARSITY VICTORY! Thursday night the HBRHS boys varsity basketball team conquered Genoa Kingston 65-42 at home...an intense game it was! #WeAreHBR

District 429 Police Liaison Officer Brian visited Mrs. Halverson's Drivers Education class to talk with our soon-to-be drivers, providing advice and answering questions. Students had many questions and hopefully will reference this experience when behind the wheel. #WeAreHBR

Mrs. Sanderson and a group of FFA students presented "a year in review" for the Board of Education tonight. Our students spoke about the skill and character development that they experience through their participation in the FFA, the benefits of the National Convention, and their appreciation for Mrs. Sanderson's leadership. #RoyalPride
Several HBRHS students who attend IVVC visited the Apprenticeship Expo at the Aurora Painters Council, learning how to begin apprenticeships for on-the-job learning with pay after high school. An enlightening experience learning about a valuable post-secondary option! #WeAreHBR
The Hinckley Area Food Pantry won a grant through the DeKalb County Community Foundation! Daveyon Bradley awarded HBRHS with the check to help finance items we need for the Free Store--so we can pass them onto our students. #WeAreHBR
