HINCKLEY-BIG ROCK HIGH SCHOOL

Hello, and welcome to Hinckley-Big Rock High School!

With a student population of approximately 225 students from the villages of Hinckley and Big Rock, we enjoy the luxury of knowing our students and their families well and working together as a team for the successful transition of our students into adult life in college, vocational school, or the work force.

Hinckley-Big Rock High School (HBRHS) has solid programs in academics and athletics, a large, thriving FFA, active clubs, National Honor Society, band and pep band, 2 Renaissance celebrations a year recognizing achievement, all in an involved, supportive community setting. Our comprehensive academic offerings include Advanced Placement courses, traditional core and elective courses, dual credit opportunities and vocational offerings.

Presently, nearly 90% of students served at HBRHS pursue post-secondary educational opportunities via university, community college, or vocational school. Our administration and staff provide effective instructional leadership, promote quality learning environments, and maintain high expectations for all students. Regardless of a student’s post-secondary pursuits, we strive to recognize our students’ achievements through our annual honors programs, athletic award programs, and through our daily commitment to their success. We believe strongly in helping all students achieve to their maximum potential as we pursue our mission of being committed to excellence in teaching and learning, providing a safe, quality learning environment, and sharing with our community the responsibility for the education of our students in preparation for living and working in a rapidly changing world.

In summary, we are proud of our history, tradition, and accomplishments, we find joy in what we do, and we look forward to the possibilities the future holds for our students and community. Thank you for taking the time to learn more “about us!”
