The HBR HS National Honor Society will be hosting a Halloween Night in the High School Library on Friday, October 20th from 6:00-7:00 PM. Children who are 11 and under can come read Halloween books with the school counselor, Mr. Abbs, and they will be able to trick or treat to the different classrooms as well. Is your Senior even CONSIDERING applying to Waubonsee Community College for next year? They should be attending Waubonsee Day tomorrow, October 3rd from 11 AM-12 PM in the HS computer lab. A Waubonsee rep will give a presentation on anything they need to know about WCC, and they will have time to complete the free online application. Students should Mr. Abbs to sign their permission slip ASAP.

October is breast cancer awareness month. 1 in 8 Women in the United States will develop breast cancer in her lifetime. On October 12th we will all fight together against breast cancer. $6 for every shirt sold will be donated locally, to help those going through treatment for breast cancer. All orders must be placed by October 5th. The Taste of HBR now takes tickets! You can purchase your tickets ahead of time on our webstore (store.hbr429.org) or at the gate the night of the Taste. Online sales may be picked up at the HBRHS office from 8am-3:30pm until 9/28 or at the Will Call booth at the Taste on the 29th.
Please note: no cash will be accepted at the booths, we are tickets only for purchases this year.
