Welcome Back Royal Families! We had some really amazing first days this week. The HBR staff is filled with energy and we are ready to go!
The 2023-2024 school year is going to be a year filled with great things! You aren't going to want to miss anything. We have several ways to stay connected to the school district so you can attend important events.
First, check out our new district activity calendar. You can access the calendar from our District home page, www.hbr429.org. Just click on the button in the middle to find a Google Calendar filled with events at each of our three graded centers. You can also find the calendar here and bookmark it in your web browser for easy access.
We have also given our website a fresh look. It's still undergoing improvements, but what you are looking for just got easier to find! Check out the site navigation along the top and select the drop-down menu that best aligns with your role (For Students, For Parents, For Staff, and For Community).
Did you know that Hinckley-Big Rock CUSD #429 has an app? There really is "an app for that"! Download it today from the I-tunes or Google Play app stores and subscribe to receive push notifications. You can subscribe to receive alerts from the District, Elementary, Middle, and/or High School sites, as well as from HBR Athletics.
If you are an HBR parent or guardian, log into Skyward and make sure that your cell phone and email addresses are correct. We will be sending emails from noreply@hbr429.org. Please add this email to your contact list to keep it from going to spam. We will also be sending updates via text from the number 98900. Each text will begin with "HBR429 Communication:" You can also save that as HBR429 Communications in your phone contact list. If you are not an HBR parent or guardian but would like to receive email updates from the district, please sign up here.
Finally, new this year: keep an eye out for monthly Board Briefs to stay up to date about what the Board of Education is discussing. This will be a helpful summary if you are unable to make it to the meetings.
