Our PTO has planned a very fun "Teacher Appreciation Week" week with a theme and activities for each day. We would love to invite you to participate! These are just optional suggestions to participate in the daily themes. If you have other ideas, or would like to show your appreciation to teachers and staff in a different way, please feel free!

Last night at the April meeting, the HBR Board of Education gave a Royal Shout out to Mrs. Susan Clark and Mrs. Katie Claypool. Both of these women were recipients of the Dekalb County Excellence in Education award! They were honored and nominated by students Evelyn Murphy and Ingrid Martinez. This weekend, the Golden Apple teacher finalists were honored at a reception. We are so proud that Mrs. Tamara Reddington, one of our EC teachers, is one of these finalists. Pictured with Mrs. Reddington is her husband, son and many of our EC team!

The HBR PTO invites all daughters & their guy (dad, uncle, grandparent, adult) to the PTO Dance on Saturday, April 20th from 6:30- 8:30 pm.
$5 cash per daughter
Also, "She Sees Photography" will be at the dance taking pictures- $5 cash for pics.
We hope to see our HBR daughters there!
Take me out to the ballpark! HBRES is headed to the Kane County Cougars ballpark for a daytime baseball game next month! More info to follow, but for now- mark your calendars for May 15. All students in grades K- 5 will attend!
All Royal Families are invited to a special shopping experience! Join us on Thursday, 4/18, anytime between 10 am- 7 pm. Get some shopping done and help raise funds for our HBR PTO!
Polish Pottery has just stocked a lot of non pottery merchandise, including a lot that are under $15. Additionally, there are a lot of great gift ideas for teacher appreciation week, Mother's Day, birthdays, etc.
Calling all families of preschool & kindergarten aged children! We have 2 special "Pathways to Play" programs planned with you in mind! Please join us on Saturday, April 20 from 9:00-10:00 am and/ or Tuesday, April 30 from 3:30- 4:30 pm for this free activity! The location is our Children's Garden at HBRES. We want to give a special thank you today- Paraprofessional Appreciation Day- to all of our HBRES paraprofessionals. These women are the glue that holds us together. They develop relationships with our students and help them thrive. They support our teachers and keep us laughing too! Thank you to each of you- we appreciate YOU!
Spring Picture Day is THIS Thursday, April 4. Flyers went home in backpacks a couple weeks ago. No need to send money- you may purchase once you see the pics. Also, avoid wearing green.

We would like to ask for everyone's assistance in spreading the word that we are now gathering student names/ information for our kindergarten classes for 2024-2025.
Parents/Guardians are asked to complete this form if they have a student that will be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2024.

We are scheduling our kinder screenings for May 29 and May 30, starting Monday morning (3/18). Once you complete the form, you will receive the information about calling our office to reserve your time slot.
