The Hinckley-Big Rock CUSD #429 Board of Education will hold a special meeting on Wednesday, 4.5.23, in the HBRHS Library at 6:30 pm to finalize plans for our upcoming Community Forums on April 17th, May 15th, and June 6th. This week we honored HBR mom of 3, Marci Viland, as we wore orange & Marci’s Stampede gear, to join her in the fight to stomp out multiple sclerosis.

March is Multiple Sclerosis Awareness Month- and to bring awareness we are wearing ORANGE on Wednesday, 3/22!
MS is a condition that affects your brain and spinal cord. In MS, the coating that protects your nerves is damaged and this causes a wide range of symptoms and problems with how we move, think and feel.

Our 3rd- 5th graders have an author coming to visit on March 15th! We are so excited to welcome Rob Harrell, author of Wink and Batpig: When Pigs Fly, among others. Students will get to meet Rob, watch an illustration demonstration and have a book talk about Rob's newest book, Go Pig or Go Home. You can pre-order a book that Rob will personalize for your student and sign. Check your email for details!

THIS IS YOUR FINAL REMINDER THAT BUTTER BRAID FORMS ARE DUE TOMORROW MARCH 8!
Any forms not in the office by 2:30pm will not be submitted! In order to have delivery before Spring Break I must have orders placed by March 9, therefore no late forms will be accepted!
ALL PAYMENTS (cash or check payable to HBR PTO) is DUE WHEN YOU TURN FORMS IN! Orders without payment will not be placed!
Pick up is scheduled for TUESDAY MARCH 21 4:30-6pm at HBRES. Any orders not picked up by 6pm will be donated to the Hinckley Area Food Pantry. If you are not able to pick up by 6pm, please make arrangements for someone to pick them up on your behalf.

Today we had the incredible opportunity to have a live wax museum at our very own school. Our 3rd graders were AMAZING - their hard work was tremendously evident. So proud of our students! Special thank yous to Mrs. Claypool, Mrs. O’Donnell and our PTO!

Our students are having fun with reading during Read Across America Week. We’re reading lots of Dr. Seuss books - One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish & Green Eggs & Ham … wearing colors to coordinate with our books - and even making some green eggs!
