We are celebrating Teacher Appreciation Week starting Monday with a “Camp Royale” theme. Students are invited to participate! Monday’s theme is “they do s’more than teach!” Students are encouraged to write a note/ card to express appreciation to their teachers. What a great idea to do on a rainy Saturday!

We had a special author visit today! Ron Keres, originally from Big Rock, came to meet all of our classes in EC- 2nd grade. The students loved hearing about his background and writing process. Thanks for coming, Mr. Ron! We look forward to his new books coming out soon!

We are thrilled to announce that our very own STEAM teacher, Mrs. Delisio, has been selected from a nationwide pool of candidates to participate in the Smithsonian National Air & Space Museum's Teacher Innovator Institute. Mrs. D will spend 2 weeks this summer in Washington, D.C. and 2 weeks again next summer, learning from top Smithsonian leaders. Mrs. Delisio is excited to learn so many new things about technology, aerospace, and history- and bring this knowledge back to our students here at HBRES. Congratulations to Mrs. Delisio!
