The annual trip with our 6th graders to Snake Road in Lake Geneva is always a blast! This year was no different. The overnight retreat provides students with team-building opportunities through a variety of activities. Some of these activities include rock-wall climbing, ax throwing, zip lining, rope swinging and much more! It was such a pleasure to watch students work through situations that were designed to have them conquer their fears and to work through tough situations. They relied on their inner strength and the strength of their peers around them. Below are what some of our chaperones had to say about their experience!
“Joining HBRMS 6th Grade Class to Snake Road was a school event I know the kids will remember forever as well as a parent/chaperone. It was evident the kids were having a lot of fun with all the laughter, excitement, and smiles shown during the time at Snake Road. I was impressed to see the encouragement with fellow students when needed during the various "stations" provided that many students were unsure about. Having the reassurance and comradery from one another is something I will always remember. Snake Road has always been a favorite memory that I was told about from previous students who attended and I now know that it will for sure be a favorite memory for my kids as well!”

“I think your 6th graders are brave adventurers, uplifting and impressive individuals who make up a wonderful group of young people! I hope they continue to grow individually and as a group. Hope you all have a successful year. The chaperones were awesome too! I enjoyed being a part of this adventure.”

“The Snake Road Field Trip was an exciting experience for the 6th grade class. It was amazing to see the determination of the students as they faced challenges scaling the climbing walls. So many conquered their fears and were rewarded by reaching the zipline. It was inspiring to see how the students supported and encouraged one another throughout the adventure.”
